GPA Urgent Search for premises continues

GPA urgently require permanent premises to enable them to continue to provide the vital and much needed service

Our search for permanent premises continues, so far we have been unable to identify anything that is suitable for GPA. We have again emailed the local councillors along with Susan Aitken head of GCC and Nicola Sturgeon in her capacity as First Minister to try and see if they can offer any further support. The Evening Times is also going to run another story to try and help us in our search.

Members have asked what they can do to help. Please email both Susan Aitken and Nicola Sturgeon in a bid to try and push for support.

In the meantime we would like to thank Spectrum Properties for giving us the opportunity to rent the current premises on a temporary basis until the end of March 2022.

If suitable premises are not found then GPA will have to close its doors after 38 years and dissolve the charity. This will have a huge impact on our members, suppliers, staff and volunteers as well as the local community in Bridgeton.

This is what GPA needs in terms of premises:
• Size approx. 9,100sq ft
• Secure car park area to park GPA van
• Area close to Glasgow City Centre (Bridgeton, Dalmarnock, Gorbals, Calton etc.)
• Good transport links i.e. bus/train
• We can only afford to pay up to £15,000.00 per annum

Please get in touch if you have or know of any premises that could suit GPA
